I come from the land of corn (Iowa), so only natural that it’s one of my FAVORITE foods in the world!
We do enjoy grilling up ears of corn for dinner, but when I’m just making one for myself or the kids, this is the best way to cook perfect corn. It’s crazy easy – so simple that you won’t believe it until you try it yourself.
No peeling, shucking, no little corn hairs to pick away. It’s unreal how simple this method is…and how perfect the corn tastes. No muss, no fuss, no mess!
PERFECT MICROWAVE CORN
- Place the corn as is (husk on) in the microwave for 4 mins. (Times may vary, but with all the microwaves I’ve tried, 4 mins at the normal setting was perfect).
- *MAKE SURE TO USE OVEN MITT/GLOVE/TOWEL SO YOU DON’T BURN YOURSELF* Take the corn out of the microwave and set it on a cutting surface.
- Cut off the end of the cob – make sure you actually get the end of the cob where there is corn. My first cut I missed the cob and just cut husk…but it was an easy fix by cutting a bit more off.
- Using your oven mitt or towel, find the top end of the corn and just squeeze. The corn will pop out perfectly clean!
